With less than a month to go until the 2016 Sports Summit, Alliance Chief Executive, Emma Boggis, explains what this year's Summit is about and what's in store for delegates.
The Summit, in association with Perkins Slade, this year takes place on 25 May and is returning to the Kia Oval. The theme is one that has generated a lot of interest with members and came from the contents of the Government’s Sporting Future strategy document.
A key part of the strategy is the goal of moving sport and recreation away from being purely focused on participation. There are many other valuable metrics and outcomes from being active that are felt by individuals and communities alike. It is measuring and evidencing these kind of impacts that the Summit will be looking at.
